The Warden will be responsible for the overall administration, discipline, and welfare of residents (children/senior citizens) in the hostel/residential facility. The ideal candidate should be compassionate, organized, and capable of maintaining a disciplined yet caring atmosphere in line with Sevalaya’s values and mission.
Supervise day-to-day activities in the hostel/residential facility.
Ensure safety, security, and well-being of all residents at all times.
Maintain discipline and a positive living environment.
Oversee cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel premises.
Coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
Keep records of attendance, health, and movement of residents.
Address grievances and resolve issues promptly with empathy and fairness.
Monitor and guide residents in maintaining proper behavior and personal hygiene.
Liaise with the management and staff to ensure effective communication and operations.
Support educational, cultural, and recreational activities for residents.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Social Work background preferred).
Minimum 1–6 years of experience as a Warden or in a similar supervisory role in a hostel, school, or NGO setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle emergencies and maintain confidentiality.
Fluency in Tamil and English preferred.
