Job Title: Pharmacy Purchase Executive

Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring pharmaceutical goods including medicines, surgical items, consumables, and medical supplies at competitive prices while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and uninterrupted availability across the pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and evaluate suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers for medicines and medical supplies.
· Generate and manage Purchase Orders (PO) based on stock reports, demand forecasting, and consumption trends.
· Maintain optimum inventory levels while minimizing expiry, slow-moving and dead stock.
· Negotiate pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with vendors.
· Coordinate with warehouse/pharmacy team for timely material receipt, GRN, discrepancies and shortages.
· Ensure all purchases adhere to regulatory requirements, GST, drug licencing norms, and documentation protocols.
· Maintain vendor performance database (quality, delivery, pricing consistency).
· Track market trends, new product launches, government price notifications (NPPA), and rate changes.
· Process supplier invoices and coordinate with accounts team for timely payments.
· Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality and availability.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, procurement processes, and drug regulatory norms.
· Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
· Data-driven decision-making with experience in inventory management.
· Proficiency in MS Excel.
· Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
