Accurately dispense medicines as per doctor’s prescription.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and drug‑dispensing guidelines.
Maintain proper documentation for scheduled drugs.
Guide customers on correct usage, dosage, and storage of medicines.
Provide counselling for chronic care medicines (diabetes, BP, thyroid, etc.).
Educate customers on generic vs branded alternatives (where allowed).
Address customer questions professionally and build trust.
Manage medicine inventory, check expiries, and ensure FEFO (First Expiry First Out).
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper display of medicines.
Ensure safety standards and proper storage (cold chain, temperature-sensitive medicines).
Support billing/POS operations when required.
Display and maintain valid Pharmacist Registration Certificate.
Ensure all pharmacy guidelines, audits, and statutory norms are adhered to.
Maintain records for narcotics/schedule H+/X drugs as per government norms.
Participate in internal audits and take corrective actions.
Check inward/outward stock and verify GRNs.
Ensure availability of essential medicines and minimize stock‑outs.
Coordinate with procurement team for replenishment.
Conduct daily/weekly stock audits and report shortages.
Recommend OTC (over‑the‑counter) products responsibly.
Cross‑sell wellness items, supplements, and health essentials.
Help the store achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction scores.
Build repeat customers through service quality.
Train pharmacy assistants and new pharmacists on SOPs.
Support staff in improving product knowledge and customer handling.
Ensure all team members follow store SOPs consistently.
Maintain temperature logs, expiry logs, and daily checklists.
Ensure proper disposal of expired or damaged drugs.
Maintain emergency medicines and first‑aid readiness.
