Job Summary
The Pharmacist at V Care is responsible for safe dispensing and sale of medicines, effective inventory management, statutory compliance related to pharmacy licences and records, and supporting sales of approved FMCG and clinic-owned wellness products, while ensuring adherence to applicable drug laws and clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pharmacy Operations & Medicine Sales
Dispense prescription and non-prescription medicines as per valid prescriptions and clinic protocols
Ensure correct dosage, labeling, and patient counseling where required
Monitor storage conditions for medicines including temperature-sensitive products
Prevent sale of expired, damaged, or unapproved medicines
2. Inventory & Store Management
Maintain accurate stock records for medicines, consumables, surgical items, and FMCG products
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise purchase indents on time
Perform regular stock verification, reconciliation, and expiry checks
Ensure proper segregation of Schedule H / H1 / other regulated drugs as applicable
3. Licensing & Documentation Compliance
Assist in maintenance and renewal of pharmacy licences and related statutory approvals
Maintain mandatory registers, invoices, purchase bills, and sale records
Support compliance during inspections by Drug Inspector / Clinical Establishment authorities
Ensure SOPs are followed for storage, dispensing, and documentation
4. FMCG & Clinic Product Sales
Handle billing and sale of approved FMCG, cosmetic, dermatology, and hair-care products
Educate patients on proper usage of clinic-recommended products
Support promotional activities and cross-selling of clinic wellness products ethically
Maintain separate stock and sales records for FMCG and non-drug items
5. Coordination & Support
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, therapists, and procurement teams
Assist in indenting and receiving stocks from approved vendors
Support smooth functioning of day-care procedures with timely availability of medicines and consumables
6. Quality, Safety & Ethics
Follow ethical pharmacy practices and confidentiality norms
Ensure adherence to Drug & Cosmetics Act and clinic policies
Report discrepancies, near misses, or compliance issues promptly
Qualifications & Skills
D.Pharm / B.Pharm (mandatory)
Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration
Knowledge of drug laws, pharmacy documentation, and inventory systems
Basic computer skills (billing software, stock registers, MS Excel)
Good communication and customer-handling skills
Preferred Experience
Experience in clinic / hospital / specialty centre pharmacy preferred
Exposure to dermatology, cosmetic, or surgical clinic setup is an added advantage
