Pharmacist – Job Description

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Wellness Forever Pharmacy - Sion Hospital to assist in dispensing medications and supporting healthcare services. The role involves handling prescriptions, maintaining pharmacy inventory, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and educating patients about medication usage. This position offers an in-hand salary of ₹16,000 – ₹20,000 and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review prescriptions and dispense medications accurately.

• Educate patients on medication dosage, usage, storage, and possible side effects.

• Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure proper storage of medicines.

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.

• Maintain accurate records of dispensed medicines and controlled drugs.

• Follow pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.

• Assist customers with over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and healthcare products.

• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals to resolve prescription-related queries.

Job Requirements:

• The minimum qualification for this role is Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).

• 0–6+ years of experience as a Pharmacist.

• A valid Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council Registration Certificate (Government of Maharashtra) is mandatory.

• Good knowledge of medicines, drug interactions, dosage, and medical terminology.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy while dispensing medications.

• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy billing/inventory software is preferred.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
