Key Responsibilities
Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
Maintain accurate patient medication records.
Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure proper storage of medicines.
Order medications and monitor stock levels and expiry dates.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and quality standards.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff when applicable.
Participate in health awareness programs, vaccinations, and patient education (where applicable).
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm.D or equivalent).
Valid Pharmacist registration/license as required by the relevant regulatory authority.
Experience in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy is preferred.
