Key Responsibilities
Develop and customize Odoo modules (Python, XML, JavaScript/OWL) to meet client requirements
Configure standard Odoo apps such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, Manufacturing, HR, and Website/eCommerce
Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems (payment gateways, shipping, CRMs, REST/SOAP APIs)
Create custom reports (QWeb/PDF), dashboards, and automated actions
Migrate data and upgrade Odoo between versions
Debug, optimize performance, and resolve production issues
Write clean, documented, version-controlled code following Odoo guidelines
Support UAT, deployment, and post-go-live fixes
Coordinate with project managers and functional consultants on scope and timelines
Required Skills
2+ years of hands-on Odoo development (v14-v18)
Strong Python and solid knowledge of the Odoo ORM, views, security rules, and workflows
Proficiency in PostgreSQL, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with Git and deployment on Linux (Odoo.sh, Docker, or on-premise)
Understanding of core business processes (accounting, inventory, sales, procurement)
Ability to read functional requirements and deliver independently
Good to Have
Experience with Indian localization (GST, e-invoicing, e-way bill, TDS)
OWL framework / modern Odoo frontend experience
Odoo Studio, Odoo.sh, or Odoo Enterprise exposure
Experience with REST API/webhook integrations and automated testing
Prior freelance or agency experience delivering to clients
