Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SQL and Linux Specialist to manage, support, and optimize our data infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL (queries, stored procedures, optimization) and hands-on experience with Linux-based environments.

• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.

• Manage and monitor Linux servers, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and upgrades.

• Perform database maintenance, backups, restores, and migration activities.

• Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripts (Bash) or other scripting tools.

• Ensure database and system security, integrity, and availability.

• Collaborate with data analysts, developers, and DevOps to support application and system requirements.

• Monitor logs, analyze issues, and provide incident support as needed.

• Work with cron jobs, process scheduling, and server performance metrics.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server).

• Solid experience with Linux/Unix systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).

• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, sh).

• Understanding of database normalization, indexing, and query optimization.

• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, or similar).

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH).

• Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot system/database issues, and suggest performance improvements.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
