Job Title: Laundry Supervisor

Location: SUT Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram
Department: Laundry Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary:

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day laundry operations within the campus, ensuring timely processing of linen, maintaining quality standards, and supervising manpower efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, and folding
Ensure proper handling and segregation of hospital linen
Manage staff shifts, attendance, and performance
Ensure timely delivery of clean linen to different departments
Maintain hygiene and infection control standards as per hospital norms
Monitor machine usage and coordinate with maintenance team
Maintain records of linen inventory and daily production
Ensure proper use of chemicals and consumables
Handle complaints and resolve operational issues
Train staff for process improvement and efficiency

Requirements:

Graduate / Diploma in relevant field
2–5 years of experience in laundry operations (hospital/hotel preferred)
Knowledge of laundry machines and chemicals
Good leadership and team handling skills
Basic computer knowledge
