Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage housekeeping staff and daily cleaning activities.

• Allocate duties and prepare daily work schedules for housekeeping employees.

• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the facility.

• Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas.

• Monitor attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance of housekeeping staff.

• Ensure the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Maintain stock and inventory of cleaning materials and consumables.

• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and chemical handling.

• Report manpower shortages, maintenance issues, and operational concerns to management.

• Coordinate with the Facility Manager and client representatives.

Basic Chemical Knowledge Required

• Basic knowledge of commonly used housekeeping chemicals.

• Understanding of chemicals used for floor cleaning, toilet cleaning, glass cleaning, and disinfecting.

• Knowledge of correct chemical dilution ratios.

• Ability to identify basic chemical safety symbols and instructions.

• Knowledge of using appropriate PPE (gloves, masks, goggles, etc.).

• Understanding that different chemicals should not be mixed unless specifically instructed by the manufacturer.

• Knowledge of safe chemical storage and handling procedures.

• Experience in housekeeping or facility management.
