Job Title: Senior Housekeeping Supervisor

Department: Housekeeping / Facility Management
Reporting To: Housekeeping Manager / Facility Manager
Location: As per site requirement

Job Summary

The Senior Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the assigned site. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating schedules, managing housekeeping supplies, and maintaining compliance with company SOPs and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations at the assigned site

• Lead, guide, and monitor housekeeping staff, supervisors, and team leaders

• Ensure cleanliness standards are maintained as per company SOPs and client requirements

• Conduct regular inspections of work areas, restrooms, common areas, and offices

• Prepare duty rosters, attendance, and leave management for housekeeping staff

• Train new and existing staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and equipment usage

• Ensure proper usage, storage, and maintenance of housekeeping chemicals, tools, and machines

• Monitor inventory, raise indents, and control consumption of housekeeping materials

• Handle client feedback, complaints, and ensure timely resolution

• Coordinate with facility management, vendors, and other departments for smooth operations

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards

• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to management

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Good knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment, and cleaning methods

• Ability to handle large teams and multiple work areas

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, attendance & reporting)

• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 10+2 / Diploma (Hotel Management or Facility Management preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in housekeeping operations

• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or senior supervisory role

• Experience in corporate offices, hospitals, hotels, malls, or residential facilities preferred

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work in shifts, if required

• Ability to handle work pressure and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards
