Key Responsibilities
1. Housekeeping Operations
Supervise daily housekeeping activities and ensure proper cleaning of assigned areas.
Ensure cleaning of offices, washrooms, common areas, corridors, pantry areas, meeting rooms, and other designated spaces.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain required standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, tools, and materials.
Monitor deep-cleaning and periodic cleaning activities as per schedule.
2. Manpower Management
Prepare and manage daily/shift-wise manpower deployment.
Allocate duties to housekeeping staff and ensure adequate manpower availability.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, discipline, and performance of employees.
Arrange replacement manpower in case of absenteeism.
Conduct toolbox talks and briefings regarding daily duties, safety, hygiene, and workplace discipline.
3. Training & Grooming
Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, equipment handling, chemical usage, and safety practices.
Ensure employees follow prescribed grooming and uniform standards.
Create awareness regarding proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
Ensure PPE is used wherever required.
4. Material & Equipment Management
Maintain proper stock of housekeeping chemicals, consumables, tools, and equipment.
Monitor consumption and raise timely requisitions for required materials.
Ensure proper storage and safe handling of cleaning agents.
Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the concerned authority.
Prevent unnecessary wastage or misuse of company/client materials.
5. Client & Site Coordination
Coordinate with the client/site representative regarding housekeeping requirements and concerns.
Attend to complaints and ensure timely corrective action.
Maintain good professional relations with the client and employees.
Ensure the site is maintained as per agreed service standards and SLA requirements.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily attendance and manpower deployment records.
Prepare daily housekeeping reports, inspection reports, material consumption reports, and other required records.
Maintain cleaning schedules and checklists.
Report incidents, complaints, shortages, and operational issues to the reporting manager.
Ensure all required records are updated and available for inspection.
7. Safety, Hygiene & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, safety guidelines, and client requirements.
Ensure safe usage, dilution, labeling, and storage of cleaning chemicals.
Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately.
Ensure housekeeping staff follow workplace hygiene and safety practices.
Support implementation of company policies related to discipline, attendance, grooming, POSH, and workplace conduct.
Required Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning procedures.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, tools, and their applications.
