Daily Responsibilities
Clinic Cleaning
Sweep and mop all floors using approved disinfectants.
Clean and disinfect reception, waiting area, consultation rooms, operatories, and washrooms.
Dust furniture, counters, windows, and clinic equipment (non-clinical surfaces).
Keep entrances, corridors, and stairways clean.
Patient Areas
Arrange chairs, magazines, and drinking water.
Clean reception desk and waiting area regularly.
Ensure washrooms are clean and stocked with soap, tissues, and hand sanitizer.
Waste Management
Segregate waste according to biomedical waste guidelines.
Empty dustbins regularly.
Replace garbage bags.
Assist in transferring biomedical waste to the designated collection area.
Infection Control Support
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as:
Door handles
Light switches
Reception counters
Handrails
Follow PPE protocols while cleaning.
Use appropriate disinfectants as instructed.
Laundry
Collect used towels, drapes, and cleaning cloths.
Wash and dry reusable linens.
Fold and store clean linens properly.
Supply Management
Refill hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, tissues, and paper towels.
Monitor cleaning supplies and inform the manager when stock is low.
Pantry & Staff Areas
Keep pantry clean and organized.
Prepare tea/coffee for staff and guests when required.
Wash cups and utensils.
Outdoor Maintenance
Keep clinic entrance clean.
Water plants if applicable.
Remove litter around the clinic premises.
End-of-Day Duties
Mop and disinfect all floors.
Empty all waste bins.
Clean washrooms thoroughly.
Switch off unnecessary lights, fans, and air conditioners (as instructed).
Lock cleaning supply storage.
Report any maintenance issues, damaged furniture, or plumbing/electrical problems.
Skills Required
Basic knowledge of hygiene and infection control.
Ability to follow cleaning schedules.
Punctual and reliable.
Attention to detail.
Physically fit for cleaning activities.
Honest and responsible.
