JOB DESCRIPTION – KITCHEN STEWARD (KST)

Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Kitchen Steward (KST) to support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and proper sanitation of the kitchen, utensils, equipment, and work areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and cooking equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, sinks, and storage areas.

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic cleaning and kitchen support activities.

• Properly handle and dispose of kitchen waste as per restaurant hygiene standards.

• Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and inform the supervisor when stock is low.

• Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies when required.

• Support the kitchen team during busy operational hours.

• Maintain personal hygiene and wear the required uniform and safety equipment.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 0–2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen preferred.

• Freshers can also apply.

• Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Good hygiene and cleanliness habits.

• Hardworking, punctual, disciplined, and team-oriented.

• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
