System Admin

• Network and Security Management:

  • Ensure secure network protocols and configurations for CCTV systems and all IT equipment.

  • Monitor network traffic to ensure optimal performance and security of the CCTV surveillance system.

  • Maintain and implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.

• System Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor all CCTV systems for potential malfunctions or technical issues and take corrective action promptly.

  • Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and maintenance schedules.

  • Report issues to the relevant team members or external vendors when necessary.

• Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Provide first-level support for all IT-related issues within the control room, escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff or external service providers.

  • Quickly identify and resolve network, server, or camera-related issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.

• Software & Firmware Updates:

  • Regularly update CCTV software and firmware to ensure compatibility with existing hardware and security features.

  • Install and configure any necessary surveillance management software and user interfaces.

• Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, upgrades, and repairs.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards for CCTV surveillance.

  • Document and report any incidents or technical issues affecting system performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT administration or network administration, preferably in a security-focused environment.

• Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and video management software.

• Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN) and hardware troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of IT security best practices, firewalls, and encryption protocols.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.

• Good problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus in a high-stakes, security-focused environment.
