Role Overview:

Our Client is seeking motivated and skilled Network & Security Operations Engineers to join our team in multiple capacities, including Firewall, Proxy, VPN, NOC, and VSAT operations. The ideal candidate will manage, monitor, and secure enterprise networks and satellite communication systems in 24/7 operational environments. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with network/security devices, and the ability to work across diverse technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Network & Security Operations (Firewall, Proxy, VPN):

• Configure, deploy, and support multi-vendor firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, CheckPoint, Fortinet)

• Administer enterprise Proxy solutions (Netskope) and VPN solutions (Accops, F5 VPN, Swift, Netskope ZTNA)

• Manage policies, access rules, exceptions, and security controls

• Integrate network/security solutions with AD, IAM, SIEM, IDAM, PAM, and SOAR

• Perform Layer 1–7 network and security troubleshooting

• Conduct packet capture & traffic analysis using Wireshark/PCAP

• Apply patches, upgrades, and security hardening for compliance

• Monitor performance, conduct audits, and maintain SLA compliance

• Maintain network diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation

• Mentor and guide L1 engineers

Network Operations Center (NOC & VSAT):

• Monitor network, server, and satellite infrastructure using NOC monitoring tools

• Perform first-level diagnosis and escalation of network or RF issues

• Manage VSAT hubs, RF/IF systems, antennas, and teleport equipment

• Conduct link budgeting, capacity planning, spectrum analysis, and fault resolution

• Support hub expansion, site deployments, and customer implementations

• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and satellite operators

• Maintain logs, ticket updates, and operational reports

General Operational Responsibilities:

• Participate in 24/7 rotational shifts to ensure continuous operations

• Handle incident, problem, change, and configuration management

• Work collaboratively in high-pressure environments

• Automate routine tasks using scripting, REST APIs, or SOAR tools

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1–10 years of experience in network operations, security, or satellite communications

• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following domains:

  • Firewall security (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, CheckPoint, Fortinet)

  • Proxy security (Netskope)

  • VPN (Accops, F5 VPN, Swift, Netskope ZTNA)

  • NOC / Network monitoring (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, etc.)

  • VSAT / Satellite Ground Station operations (TDMA/SCPC/MxDMA)

• Strong understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, TCP/IP)

• Experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments

• Proficiency in packet capture and traffic analysis

• Familiarity with authentication technologies (AD, LDAP, IAM, MFA, Certificates)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Preferred Certifications:

• CCNA, CCNP Security, PCNSE, CCSA/CCSE, NSE certifications

• Netskope certifications (for Proxy/VPN roles)

• VSAT or RF-related certifications for satellite operations
