Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Desktop/Laptop Engineer to join our team, specializing in the production, testing, and repair of refurbished laptops and desktops. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in hardware troubleshooting and system optimization to deliver reliable refurbished machines for rental and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Refurbishment & Production

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair laptops/desktops from brands like Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Apple.

  • Replace faulty components (RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboard, display panels, keyboards, batteries).

  • Perform system upgrades and ensure machines meet performance standards.

  • Assemble and configure refurbished units for client delivery.

• Repair & Maintenance

  • Conduct hardware-level repairs including soldering, chip replacement, and BIOS updates.

  • Troubleshoot OS/software issues (Windows/Linux installation, drivers, updates).

  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools for efficient repair cycles.

• Quality Assurance

  • Run diagnostic tests to ensure machines meet company standards.

  • Document repair logs, test reports, and maintain service records.

• Client Support

  • Provide technical support for rental clients (on-site/off-site).

  • Assist in AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) services including preventive maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Hardware Engineering, IT, or related field.

• 1–2 years of experience in laptop/desktop repair and refurbishment.

• Strong knowledge of hardware components, BIOS, drivers, and OS installation.

• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair tasks.

• Good communication skills for client interaction.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with server/workstation hardware.

• Knowledge of licensing (Windows, Office, Antivirus).

• Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure setups.
