Job Summary

We are looking for a Field Engineer with strong knowledge of IT hardware and software troubleshooting to provide on-site technical support to clients. The candidate will be responsible for visiting customer locations, diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues, installing IT equipment, and ensuring smooth operation of systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit client locations for on-site IT hardware and software support.

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.

• Diagnose and repair hardware issues involving RAM, hard disks/SSDs, SMPS, motherboards, monitors, keyboards, mice, etc.

• Install and configure Windows OS, drivers, applications, antivirus, and other software.

• Troubleshoot operating system, application, system performance, and software-related issues.

• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, IP addresses, DNS, and DHCP.

• Install and configure network printers and troubleshoot printing issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine health checks of IT systems.

• Provide technical support for CCTV, biometric devices, or other IT-related equipment, if required.

• Replace faulty hardware components and coordinate with vendors for warranty/repair requirements.

• Maintain proper records of equipment, repairs, replacements, and service visits.

• Update and close service tickets after resolving customer issues.

• Provide remote support whenever on-site visits are not required.

• Explain technical solutions and basic system usage to clients/users.

• Ensure timely completion of assigned service calls and adhere to customer SLAs.

• Escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate senior technical team.

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting

• Windows installation and troubleshooting

• Software/application installation and support

• LAN and Wi-Fi troubleshooting

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP

• Printer and peripheral troubleshooting

• Desktop/laptop configuration and maintenance

• Basic networking and router/switch configuration

• Antivirus and system security basics

• Knowledge of remote support tools

• Basic knowledge of Active Directory is an advantage

• Ability to work independently in the field

• Willingness to travel to different client locations

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

• IT hardware/networking certifications will be an added advantage.

6 months - 1 yr of experience in:

Freshers with relevant technical knowledge and willingness to travel may also be considered.

Job Requirements

• Candidate should be comfortable with field visits and travelling to client locations.

• A valid two-wheeler and driving licence is preferred.

• Should be available for urgent technical support when required.

• Good knowledge of local areas and navigation apps is an advantage.
