Job Description – Automation Engineer

Position: Automation Engineer

Location: Vasai East

Experience: 2 Years (as required)

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

·         Develop, configure, and troubleshoot Phoenix PLC (PLCnext / Visu+) based automation systems.

·         Design and implement SCADA solutions, including graphics, logic, communication interfaces, and reporting.

·         Work with IEC 61850 protocols, including MMS, GOOSE, and substation automation systems.

·         Integrate automation systems with field devices, protection relays, and communication networks.

·         Understand and interpret electrical drawings such as SLDs, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and control schematics.

·         Collaborate with design, electrical, and commissioning teams for project execution.

·         Perform FAT, SAT, troubleshooting, and site commissioning of automation and SCADA systems.

·         Prepare technical documentation, test procedures, and reports

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Phoenix PLC programming, visualization (Visu+), and industrial communication protocols.

Experience with SCADA development and integration (Visu+, SCADA Pro, or similar).

Working knowledge of IEC 61850, substation automation, and communication configuration tools.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, control logic, and panel layouts.

Good understanding of electrical systems, protection schemes, and control circuits.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Electricals /Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation Engineering

Knowledge of automation components like PLC, HMI, VFD, and Servo Drives

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and in a team

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
