📌 Role Overview

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting end-user devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT infrastructure.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals

• Troubleshoot OS issues (Windows, macOS, basic Linux)

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords via Active Directory

• Install and update software applications and security patches

• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi)

• Manage and track incidents using ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)

• Perform system upgrades and data backups

• Provide remote support using remote desktop tools

• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation

• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Windows OS and Active Directory

• Familiarity with networking basics (VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN)

• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow preferred, not mandatory)

• Exposure to Intune/SCCM (nice to have)

• Basic knowledge of printers and AV setups

• Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach

• Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms

• Calm, empathetic approach while handling user issues
