About the Role: We are looking for a tech-savvy and proactive IT Assistant to support our publishing company’s day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining hardware and software systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth functioning of all digital tools used across departments including editorial, design, sales, e-commerce, and digital publishing.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Provide technical support for staff (in-person, phone, or remote) on hardware, software, and network issues.

·      Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, scanners, LAN, and software.

·      Manage email accounts, cloud storage access, and software subscriptions.

·      Troubleshoot internet connectivity and ensure stable network performance.

·      Support digital publishing systems, website back-end, and e-commerce tools when needed.

·      Coordinate with external IT vendors for AMC, repair, or upgrades.

·      Regularly back up important data and ensure basic cybersecurity measures are in place.

·      Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely upgrades and replacements.

·      Assist during events (book fairs, exhibitions) in setting up digital equipment and internet services.

·      Document issues and resolutions and maintain IT logs and checklists.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

·         1–3 years of experience in a similar IT support or assistant role.

·         Good understanding of Windows/Mac OS, MS Office Suite, antivirus, printers, and basic networking.

·         Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and typesetting software.

·         Exposure to ERP/CRM tools and remote support systems (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.)
