About the Role The Hybrid Infrastructure Presales Architect is responsible for designing, positioning, and articulating end-to-end hybrid solutions across on-premise (VMware/Azure Local) and public cloud platforms (primarily Azure, with AWS exposure as a plus) . This role works closely with sales, delivery, and partner teams to support the full presales lifecycle—from discovery and assessment to solution design, proposal development, and customer presentations. Key Responsibilities Partner with sales teams to understand customer business, infrastructure, and cloud transformation requirements Lead discovery workshops, infrastructure assessments, and hybrid readiness evaluations Design end-to-end hybrid architectures combining: VMware (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI Azure public cloud services Develop solution documentation including architectures, SOWs, BOMs, and RFP/RFI responses Present complex hybrid and cloud solutions to both technical and executive stakeholders Support migration strategies including datacenter modernization, cloud migration, and workload optimization Ensure alignment between presales commitments and delivery capabilities Contribute to reusable solution offerings, reference architectures, and go-to-market assets Core Domains Hybrid Infrastructure (VMware, Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local) Cloud Platforms (Azure primary, AWS secondary) Virtualization & Datacenter Modernization Cloud Migration & Workload Placement Strategy Networking (SDN, NSX, Azure Networking, Hybrid Connectivity) Security Integration (Defender, Zero Trust in hybrid environments) Backup & DR (Azure Site Recovery, Veeam, etc.) Governance & FinOps Required Experience 6–10+ years in infrastructure, cloud architecture, or consulting roles 4–6+ years in customer-facing or presales roles Proven experience designing hybrid cloud solutions (on-prem + public cloud) Experience working with enterprise-scale datacenter environments Technical Skills Strong expertise in VMware stack (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) Experience with Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI / Arc-enabled infrastructure Solid understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid services Knowledge of migration tools and frameworks (Azure Migrate, HCX, etc.) Understanding of networking, storage, and compute design in hybrid scenarios Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) is an advantage Certifications (Preferred) Microsoft: AZ-305, AZ-104, Azure Stack HCI / Hybrid certifications VMware: VCP / VCAP (DCV, NV, or Cloud) Cloud certifications (Azure / AWS) Soft Skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value Strong documentation and proposal-writing capability Commercial awareness in deal shaping and solution positioning Success Metrics Contribution to hybrid/cloud deal win rate Quality, scalability, and reusability of architectures and SOWs Customer satisfaction and alignment with delivery outcomes Growth of hybrid solution pipeline and revenue contribution What you can expect We’re legendary to take care of you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
