Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in Thrissur. You will be responsible for providing first-level technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support to users via phone, email, or in person.

• Assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot hardware issues for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices like printers and scanners.

• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common software applications.

• Manage and support I/O and peripheral devices.

• Provide basic networking support and troubleshoot network-related issues.

• Coordinate with vendors for AMC renewals and specialized repairs.

• Document procedures, configurations, and system changes for future reference.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 1 - 4 years of experience in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role.

• Education: Any.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.

  • Strong knowledge of hardware components, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and remote support tools.

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and endpoint security is a plus.

• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with non-technical users.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Range: ₹18,000 - ₹25,000 per month
