Job Description: Hardware Engineer (Server Assembling)
We are looking for a skilled Hardware Engineer with hands-on experience in server assembling, configuration, and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, testing, and troubleshooting servers, ensuring smooth hardware operations,
and supporting IT infrastructure requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble, configure, and test servers and workstations as per technical specifications.
· Install and maintain hardware components including motherboards, CPUs, RAM, storage devices, and network cards.
· Perform server troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and hardware replacement as required.
· Maintain hardware inventory and ensure proper documentation of builds and configurations.
· Collaborate with the Network and System Admin teams for deployment and integration of servers.
· Handle RAID configurations, firmware updates, and BIOS settings.
· Ensure all assembled servers meet performance and quality standards.
· Provide support for hardware-level issues in data center or office environments.
· Maintain cleanliness and safety in the hardware lab and ensure ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions are followed.
Required Skills & Competencies:
· Strong knowledge of server assembling, hardware components, and peripherals.
· Hands-on experience with Dell, HP, Lenovo, or Supermicro servers (preferred).
· Understanding of RAID configurations, BIOS/UEFI setup, and hardware diagnostics tools.
· Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, switches, cables).
· Familiarity with Windows/Linux server installation will be an added advantage.
· Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Hardware, Electronics, or related field.
Preferred Certifications (optional):
· CompTIA A+ / Server+
· Dell EMC / HP Server Certification
· Cisco CCNA (basic knowledge preferred)
