JOB DESCRIPTION – MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

1. Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in mechanical design and CAD software. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical components, assemblies, and automation systems as per project requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
Create 2D and 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Develop machine layouts, mechanical components, and assembly drawings.
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
Perform 3D part modelling, assembly modelling, and design modifications.
Select suitable materials and mechanical components as per design requirements.
Coordinate with production, purchase, and project teams for design implementation.
Ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
Maintain design drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Modify existing designs to improve machine performance and efficiency.
3. Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
4. Required Skills
Strong hands-on knowledge of SolidWorks is mandatory.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience in 3D part modelling, assembly modelling, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gears, motors, pneumatic cylinders, etc.
Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of industrial automation and machine design will be preferred.
Good problem-solving and coordination skills.
