Job Title: Sales Executive – Mild Steel Finished Products (Supply & Trading)

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven SALES EXECUTIVE to promote and sell mild steel finished products to a wide range of clients including multinational companies, road contractors, building contractors, construction firms, engineering units, fabrication units, and other industrial customers

The role involves identifying new business opportunities, onboarding new clients, generating inquiries, providing competitive quotations, and following through to secure purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

• Identify, approach, and onboard new customers across target industries such as construction, engineering, infrastructure.

• Conduct client visits, meetings, and presentations to promote company products and capabilities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, project managers, and decision-makers.

2. Sales & Revenue Generation

• Generate new inquiries through proactive networking, cold calling, client visits, and market research.

• Understand customer requirements for mild steel products such as sheets, plates, channels, angles, beams, TMT, pipes, and other steel supplies.

• Prepare and send accurate, competitive, and timely quotations.

3. Follow-Up & Order Closure

• Proactively follow up on quotations to convert inquiries into confirmed purchase orders.

• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to meet both customer expectations and company targets.

• Coordinate internally with logistics, finance, and warehouse teams for smooth execution of orders.

4. Market Intelligence

• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and project developments.

• Provide feedback to management on customer needs, opportunities, and market gaps.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain updated records of inquiries, quotations, follow-ups, and order closures.

• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, sales processes, and documentation standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in steel sales, construction materials or industrial product trading (freshers with strong skills may also apply).

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to build lasting professional relationships.

• Knowledge of mild steel products, pricing, and applications is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel locally to meet clients regularly.

• Self-motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused.
