Job Summary
The Sales Representative for secondary sales drives revenue and volume growth across an assigned territory by managing the channel partner network. This role ensures product availability, manages retailer relationships, monitors dealer inventory, and executes market promotional schemes to achieve monthly and quarterly secondary sales targets. Key Responsibilities
Target Achievement: Meet or exceed primary and secondary sales volume and revenue goals assigned for the territory.
Channel Management: Visit distributors, dealers, and retail counters regularly to drive order collection and secure secondary sales.
Retail Expansion: Appoint high-potential retail outlets and onboard new channel partners to widen market penetration and product reach.
Inventory & Stock Monitoring: Track dealer-wise and retailer-wise stock movement, avoid stock-outs, and prevent inventory pile-up.
Relationship Building: Establish strong working rapport with local contractors, builders, masons, and influencers who recommend building products.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing updates, builder schemes, and new product launches in the regional market.
Payment Collection: Coordinate timely collections and follow-ups on outstanding payments per company credit policies.
Reporting: Submit daily field visit reports, stock updates, and sales pipelines to management. [1, 2, 3]
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Experience: 1 to 5 years of field sales experience in channel sales or retail sales, preferably within building materials, cement, steel, PVC pipes, paints, or hardware. [1, 2]
Education: Graduate in any discipline; an MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage. [1]
Required Skills:
