Hiring for: Team Lead/Team Manager- Business loan

work Timings: 09:30am - 06:30pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a high-performing and motivated Business Loan Sales Team Leader to drive our commercial lending portfolio. In this role, you will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of loan officers and sales executives. You will be responsible for setting sales targets, developing strategic origination plans, and ensuring your team delivers exceptional financial solutions to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and corporate clients. The ideal candidate possesses deep financial acumen, a strong network, and a proven track record of hitting aggressive lending targets while maintaining portfolio quality.

Core Responsibilities1. Leadership & Team Management

• Recruit, onboard, train, and continuously mentor a team of business loan sales executives.

• Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales targets for team members.

• Conduct regular performance reviews, pipeline audits, and provide constructive coaching to bridge skill gaps.

• Foster a competitive, highly motivated, and compliant sales environment.

2. Sales & Business Development

• Formulate and execute strategic sales plans to expand the company’s business loan portfolio (secured and unsecured lending, working capital, lines of credit, equipment financing).

• Identify new market segments, industry clusters, and strategic referral channels (e.g., CAs, brokers, business consultants).

• Guide the team in complex structured deals and step in to help close high-value accounts.

3. Credit Analysis & Risk Management

• Screen loan applications to ensure they meet the company's risk appetite and underwriting benchmarks before formal submission.

• Work closely with the Credit and Risk teams to expedite loan approvals while maintaining portfolio health.

• Monitor non-performing assets (NPAs) and implement early intervention strategies for accounts showing signs of stress.

4. Relationship & Operations Management

• Ensure the highest standards of customer service, driving customer retention and referral business.

• Streamline the loan origination process from initial prospecting to documentation and final disbursement.

• Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in commercial lending.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business loan / SME lending sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.

• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial financial products, balance sheet analysis, cash flow evaluation, and credit risk assessment.

• Skills: Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
