Field Procurement Executive – Associated Scientific Corporation

We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Field Procurement Executive to join our team at Associated Scientific Corporation. The role requires candidates who are comfortable working in the field, visiting markets and vendors, sourcing products, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely procurement of materials as per company requirements.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying suitable suppliers, comparing prices and specifications, negotiating commercial terms, purchasing/collecting materials, and developing a reliable vendor network. The position offers a competitive in-hand salary and opportunities for growth based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit local markets, dealers, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers for procurement of required materials.

• Source tools, laboratory equipment, electrical/electronic items, engineering products, consumables, hardware, and other technical/general items as per company requirements.

• Identify new vendors and develop a reliable supplier database.

• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing.

• Negotiate prices, discounts, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.

• Verify product specifications, make, model, quality, quantity, and condition before procurement.

• Coordinate with the office/procurement team to understand technical specifications and urgent purchase requirements.

• Follow up with vendors for timely availability and delivery of materials.

• Collect materials from vendors/markets whenever required and coordinate transportation to the office/warehouse.

• Maintain proper records of quotations, purchases, vendor details, bills, and procurement activities.

• Regularly update management regarding procurement status, market prices, availability, and vendor feedback.

• Develop alternative sources for difficult-to-procure or specialized items.

• Handle urgent and time-sensitive procurement requirements efficiently.

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with existing and new suppliers.

• Ensure procurement is completed at the best possible price without compromising required specifications or quality.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Qualification: Graduate/Diploma in any discipline. Candidates with a technical background will be preferred.

• Freshers as well as candidates with experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, field operations, vendor development, or technical products may apply.

• Good communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong knowledge of local markets and ability to identify suitable suppliers.

• Comfortable with extensive fieldwork and travelling within the assigned area.

• Basic knowledge of computers, MS Excel, email, WhatsApp, and online product/vendor searches.

• Ability to understand basic technical specifications and compare products from different suppliers.

• Good bargaining, problem-solving, and vendor-management skills.

• Should be responsible, organized, and capable of handling multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.

• Candidates with experience sourcing industrial tools, electrical items, electronics, laboratory equipment, scientific instruments, hardware, machinery, or engineering products will be preferred.
