The Paytm field sales executive role involves promoting and selling Paytm's digital payment and financial solutions directly to merchants and businesses in the assigned territory. It is a full-time, on-site position focused on merchant acquisition, product deployment, and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Market Visits: Plan and schedule visits to local markets and unorganized retailers to generate new leads and identify potential clients.
Sales and Onboarding: Promote and sell various Paytm products, such as QR codes, Soundboxes, and EDC/card swipe machines, and onboard new merchants to the platform.
Product Demonstration & Deployment: Clearly articulate the benefits and best practices of Paytm's solutions and ensure proper product deployment at client locations.
Target Achievement: Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and quotas.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, positive business relationships with existing and new customers, providing post-sales support and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Reporting and Feedback: Maintain accurate sales records, update the CRM system, prepare sales reports, and gather market feedback on competitor activities and existing offerings for product enhancements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum 12th pass, with a graduate degree being a plus for some roles.
Experience: Freshers can apply, though prior experience of 6 months to 2 years in field sales, B2B/B2C sales, or related industries like telecom, banking, or retail is often preferred.
Skills: Strong sales, negotiation, and communication (verbal and interpersonal) skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Mandatory Assets: A smartphone and a bike with a valid driving license are typically required for commuting within the assigned territory.
Documentation: Required documents usually include an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and bank account details.
Compensation & Benefits
The role typically offers a Variable salary plus attractive incentives and commissions based on performance. High performers have significant earning potential (up to INR 21,000 or more per month, depending on location and targets).
