A Sales Officer is responsible for generating sales, building strong customer relationships, and meeting assigned targets within a designated territory or product category. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, improving brand visibility, and ensuring smooth sales operations to support organizational growth.
Identify and approach potential customers to generate new leads and business opportunities.
Visit retailers, distributors, or clients regularly to promote products and ensure availability.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the management.
Maintain healthy relationships with existing customers by providing assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences.
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and promotional activities.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales reports to the Sales Manager or Supervisor.
Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain proper documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, logistics, and accounts to ensure smooth order processing and service delivery.
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in business, marketing, or related fields.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet targets under pressure.
Good knowledge of the local market and customer behavior.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Previous experience in sales or field marketing is an added advantage.
