We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager with a background in Solar Energy to lead our sales operations, drive business growth, and expand market presence. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of solar products/solutions, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets in the renewable energy sector.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals in the solar energy market.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to drive performance and productivity.
Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and expand customer base (B2B/B2C/Utility, depending on company focus).
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and potential client segments.
Present and promote solar products/solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
Collaborate with engineering, project, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth project execution.
Track sales metrics, prepare regular reports, and forecast revenue.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and regulatory standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (MBA preferred).
3–7 years of sales experience in the Solar Energy industry (modules, inverters, EPC solutions, rooftop/commercial/utility-scale projects).
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, financing models, regulatory frameworks, and market trends.
Proven experience in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead a sales team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
Willingness to travel as required.
Existing network of solar industry clients (distributors, developers, EPC contractors, institutions).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of self-motivation, professionalism, and customer orientation.
