ITI Electrician – Smart Meter Installation Job Description

Position: ITI Electrician – Smart Meter Installation
Industry: Power / Smart Metering
Employment Type: Full-time / Field Job

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and replace smart electricity meters at consumer premises.

• Carry out single-phase and three-phase meter installations as per company/DISCOM guidelines.

• Perform meter wiring, connection, testing, and commissioning.

• Ensure proper safety procedures during installation.

• Identify and resolve basic electrical/wiring issues at the consumer location.

• Capture installation details, meter readings, photographs, and other required data through the mobile application.

• Coordinate with supervisors and field teams for daily work allocation.

• Achieve assigned daily installation targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Travel to different consumer locations within the assigned service area.

Eligibility:

• ITI Electrician qualification mandatory.

• 0–3 years of experience in electrical work/meter installation preferred.

• Knowledge of basic electrical wiring and safety procedures.

• Candidates should be comfortable with field work and daily travel.

• Own bike/two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/mandatory, depending on project requirements.

• Basic smartphone knowledge required.

Salary: As per project and experience
