Field Collection Executive

*Job Description: Collection Officer – BFSI / SBI Card*

*Primary Purpose*

Maximize recovery of overdue credit card dues while maintaining customer relationships and adhering to RBI/FPC guidelines. You’re the front line for reducing delinquency and NPAs.

*Key Responsibilities*

- *Portfolio Management*

- Handle assigned bucket: 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, 90+ DPD accounts.

- Prioritize cases based on risk, amount, and vintage.

- *Customer Contact & Recovery*

- Call, visit, and negotiate with delinquent customers for payment.

- Explain outstanding amount, charges, settlement options, and consequences of non-payment.

- Convince customers to clear dues via full payment, part payment, or EMI conversion.

- *Field Visits*

- Conduct door-to-door visits for hard bucket/X bucket customers.

- Verify customer address, employment, and willingness to pay.

- Skip tracing for absconding customers.

- *Documentation & Compliance*

- Maintain detailed records of all interactions in CRM/Collection System.

- Issue dunning letters, legal notices as per company process.

- Follow RBI Fair Practice Code, DRA guidelines. No threats, abusive language, or unethical practices.

- *Coordination*

- Work with legal team for SARFAESI/Section 138 cases.

- Coordinate with payment gateway, settlement team, and customer service for dispute resolution.

- Share feedback with risk/underwriting on fraud or willful default patterns.

- *Target Achievement*

- Meet monthly resolution rate, roll-back rate, and recovery amount targets.

- Reduce flow to next bucket and control charge-offs.

*Qualifications & Skills*

- *Education:* Graduate in any discipline. MBA/MSW preferred for senior roles.

- *Experience:* 0-3 years in collections, recovery, tele-calling, or field sales in NBFC/Bank/Telecom.

- *Skills:*

- Strong negotiation & persuasion skills

- Street-smart, resilient, and target-driven

- Basic Excel + collection software knowledge

- Local language fluency + Hindi/English

- Two-wheeler + valid license for field roles

- *Salary:* ₹2.2 – ₹4.5 LPA for freshers; ₹4.5 – ₹8 LPA for experienced
