Business Development Executive – Solar Sales

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and target-oriented Business Development Executive to promote and sell solar energy solutions to residential, commercial, and other potential customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new leads through field visits, calling, references, and other channels.

- Identify potential customers interested in On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar Systems.

- Explain solar products, pricing, benefits, financing/subsidy options, and installation processes to customers.

- Conduct customer meetings and site visits when required.

- Prepare quotations and coordinate with the internal team for proposals.

- Follow up with leads regularly and convert them into customers.

- Maintain proper records of leads, follow-ups, and sales activities.

- Achieve assigned monthly sales and customer acquisition targets.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

- Coordinate with installation and service teams for smooth project execution.

- Stay updated about solar products, market trends, competitors, and government schemes.

Required Skills

- Good communication and convincing skills.

- Basic knowledge of solar products and renewable energy.

- Sales-oriented and target-focused approach.

- Ability to handle customer queries professionally.

- Good negotiation and follow-up skills.

- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Google Sheets is preferred.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.

- Experience: Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.

- Candidates with experience in solar sales, electrical sales, real estate, telecom, FMCG, or field sales will be preferred.

- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred for field work.

Compensation

- Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and performance.

- Incentives: Additional performance-based incentives on successful sales/conversions.

- Travel/field allowances may be provided as per company policy.

Performance Expectations

The selected candidate will be expected to:

- Generate and manage quality leads.

- Maintain regular customer follow-ups.

- Meet assigned monthly sales targets.

- Maintain accurate sales and customer records.

- Contribute to overall business growth.
