Position Title
Business Development Executive (Vendor Tie-ups & Lead Partnerships)
Job Summary
We are a wedding photography company looking for a proactive and persuasive Business Development Executive to build and manage strategic tie-ups with banquets, hotels, and event planners. The candidate will be responsible for visiting these venues and partners on a regular basis, pitching our wedding photography and cinematography services, and setting up a lead-sharing and commission-based referral arrangement — where partners refer couples/clients booking their venue to us, and we pay them a commission on every lead successfully converted into a booking. The role requires strong field presence, relationship-building ability, and sharp negotiation skills to close mutually beneficial partnership deals.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, approach, and visit banquets, hotels, and event planners to establish business tie-ups for wedding photography and cinematography services.
Pitch our company's photography/videography packages and explain the lead-referral and commission model to potential partners.
Negotiate commission terms, payout structures, and partnership agreements with each vendor.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with venue owners, hotel managers, and event planning companies who regularly host weddings.
Ensure a steady inflow of qualified wedding leads from tied-up partners.
Coordinate with the internal sales team to track leads received from partners through to conversion.
Maintain accurate records of tie-ups, leads generated, conversions, and commission payouts.
Regularly follow up with partners to ensure the relationship stays active and productive.
Resolve any disputes or concerns raised by partners regarding leads or commission payments.
Meet monthly targets for number of tie-ups established and leads converted.
Conduct market research to identify new potential partners and expand the tie-up network.
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills to close partnership and commission deals.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
Confident field presence — comfortable with regular travel and in-person meetings.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Basic understanding of commission-based/referral business models.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
Problem-solving mindset to handle partner objections and concerns.
Proficiency in MS Office / Excel for maintaining tie-up and lead-tracking records.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in any discipline (preference for Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration).
1–3 years of experience in field sales, business development, or vendor/partnership management (experience in hospitality, wedding, or event/photography industry strongly preferred).
Freshers with strong communication and negotiation potential may also be considered.
Must own a two-wheeler/vehicle for regular field visits (preferred).
Compensation
Fixed salary + performance-based incentives on successful tie-ups and lead conversions.
Travel/conveyance allowance as applicable.
Working Conditions
Extensive field travel required to meet banquets, hotels, and event planners.
Flexible working hours, including occasional weekends, based on partner availability.
