About the Role

We are looking for energetic and target-oriented Sales Executives / Business Development Executives to join our field sales team. The role involves acquiring and onboarding new merchants, promoting PhonePe QR and business solutions, building strong merchant relationships, and driving business growth within the assigned territory.

This is a field-based role for individuals who enjoy meeting people, building relationships, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants within the assigned territory.

• Conduct merchant onboarding and ensure accurate documentation and KYC completion.

• Promote and sell PhonePe QR and other merchant services.

• Generate leads through market visits, references, and direct field activities.

• Explain PhonePe products, features, benefits, and applicable offers to merchants.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and newly onboarded merchants.

• Drive activation and usage of PhonePe merchant solutions.

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and productivity targets.

• Conduct regular market visits and identify new business opportunities.

• Resolve basic merchant queries and coordinate with internal teams for issue resolution.

• Maintain accurate records of merchant visits, leads, onboarding, and sales activities.

• Ensure adherence to company processes, compliance, and KYC guidelines.

• Stay updated on new PhonePe products, services, campaigns, and incentive programs.

Key Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong convincing and negotiation abilities.

• Comfortable with field sales and daily market visits.

• Target-oriented and self-motivated.

• Ability to build relationships with merchants.

• Basic knowledge of smartphones and mobile applications.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good local market knowledge will be an advantage.

Eligibility

• Education: 12th / PUC and above.

• Experience: 0–5 years in sales, business development, merchant acquisition, or related field.

• Two-wheeler: Mandatory.

• Valid driving licence preferred/required for field movement.

• Freshers with strong communication and sales aptitude can also apply.

Compensation

Fixed Salary: ₹21,000 – ₹26,000 per month

Incentives: Up to ₹40,000 per month, based on performance and applicable incentive structure.
