Job Title: Assistant Sales Manager – East

Location: West Bengal (Home-based) with travel across Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, and North-East India

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Sales Manager to drive business growth across the Eastern region. The role involves identifying new customers, conducting farm visits, understanding customer requirements, coordinating quotations, closing orders, supporting project execution, and ensuring timely collections.

This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel to customer sites and strong relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new customers across the assigned territory.

• Meet farm owners, managers, dealers, and integrators to understand project requirements.

• Generate new business opportunities and expand market presence.

• Build long-term relationships with customers and channel partners.

Lead Management

• Follow up on assigned leads promptly.

• Qualify opportunities and schedule customer visits.

• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and conversion ratio.

Solution Selling & Quotations

• Collect customer requirements and site information.

• Coordinate with internal teams for proposal and quotation preparation.

• Present solutions, explain project scope, and address customer queries.

Order Closure & Collections

• Drive quotation follow-ups and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.

• Obtain purchase orders and advance payments.

• Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments as per agreed schedules.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with customers and internal teams for project execution.

• Verify site readiness before dispatch and installation.

• Support installation, commissioning, and customer handover activities.

Market Development

• Develop dealer and channel partner networks.

• Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.

• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and trade fairs.

Reporting & CRM

• Update CRM records daily.

• Maintain visit reports, sales activities, and customer interactions.

• Submit weekly plans and progress reports.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline.

Candidate Requirements

• 2–6 years of field sales experience.

• Experience selling engineered products, agricultural products, farm equipment, or capital goods.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Comfortable with frequent travel across assigned territories.

• Working knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and WhatsApp Business.

• Valid driving license preferred.
