Assistant Sales Manager (FMCG – Chicken Division)

Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Sales Manager to drive sales growth for our chicken products division in the assigned territory. The candidate will be responsible for distributor handling, retail market expansion, HORECA sales, achieving sales targets, and maintaining strong customer relationships across Mangaluru and nearby regions.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for fresh/frozen chicken products.
Develop and manage distributor, dealer, and retailer networks.
Expand market reach by identifying new business opportunities in retail, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and catering sectors.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
Ensure proper stock movement, product availability, and timely collections.
Coordinate with logistics and operations teams for smooth delivery execution.
Lead and support field sales executives to improve market coverage and productivity.
Execute promotional activities, trade schemes, and branding initiatives in the market.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and present market feedback to management.
Ensure hygiene, quality standards, and company policies are maintained across sales channels.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in FMCG / Poultry / Food product sales.
Experience in handling distributors and retail sales network.
Strong communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
Knowledge of Mangaluru market and nearby territories preferred.
Ability to travel within the assigned region.
Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools.
Kannada and English communication is mandatory; Hindi is an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in chicken, meat, frozen food, seafood, or food FMCG industry.
Existing network with retailers, supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants will be an advantage.
Self-motivated with strong target-achievement skills.
