Position: Fashion Designer
Location: Paschim Vihar, Delhi
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Working Days: 6 Days a Week

JOB SUMMARY

House of Kapoor’s is looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with a strong understanding of Indian and Indo-Western wear.

The candidate will be responsible for developing new designs and collections, creating sketches and concepts, understanding fabrics and garment construction, and coordinating with the cutting and stitching teams to ensure accurate execution of approved designs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop creative and commercially viable designs for Indian and Indo-Western wear.

• Create fashion sketches, design concepts, mood boards, and collection themes.

• Develop designs for premium, entry-level, occasion wear, and pre-bridal collections.

• Research current fashion trends, colours, silhouettes, fabrics, and market preferences.

• Select suitable fabrics, colours, trims, embroidery, and embellishments for designs.

• Present designs for approval and make modifications based on feedback.

• Coordinate with the Cutting Master and Stitching Team for accurate execution of designs.

• Explain design details, measurements, construction, and finishing requirements to the production team.

• Review samples and ensure proper fitting, finishing, quality, and detailing.

• Coordinate design corrections and ensure the final garment matches the approved design.

• Maintain monthly design plans, collection targets, and deadlines.

• Support the development of collections for brand launches, exhibitions, photoshoots, and social media.

• Ensure timely completion of designs and samples as per collection schedules.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant experience in Fashion Designing, preferably in Indian, Indo-Western, occasion, or pre-bridal wear.

• Strong creative and conceptual thinking.

• Good fashion sketching and design development skills.

• Strong knowledge of fabrics, colours, silhouettes, patterns, embroidery, and embellishments.

• Good understanding of garment construction, fitting, and finishing.

• Ability to translate creative ideas into practical, production-ready garments.

• Good coordination skills with cutting, stitching, and production teams.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Good understanding of current fashion trends and customer preferences.

• Ability to manage multiple designs and meet deadlines.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Knowledge of CorelDRAW / Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop will be an added advantage.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for someone who is creative, responsible, trend-aware, and hands-on, with the ability to take a design from concept → sketch → sample → corrections → final garment.

Candidates with experience in premium Indian wear, Indo-Western, occasion wear, pre-bridal or designer collections will be preferred.
