ITI Electrician – Utility Maintenance

Qualification

• ITI Electrician (NCVT/SCVT)

• 1–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance (Freshers with good practical skills may also be considered).

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.

• Maintain UPS systems, DG sets, electrical panels, and power distribution boards.

• Monitor and maintain utility equipment in POPs (Points of Presence), server rooms, and office locations.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore power during outages.

• Install and maintain lighting systems, switches, sockets, MCBs, and wiring.

• Support maintenance of air conditioning units and battery backup systems.

• Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety compliance.

• Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and service records.

• Coordinate with facility teams, vendors, and field technicians.

• Attend emergency electrical breakdowns as required.

• Follow company safety procedures and use PPE while working.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of electrical wiring, control panels, and power distribution.

• Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.

• Hands-on experience with multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers (megger), and other electrical tools.

• Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical equipment.

• Good communication and teamwork.

• Willingness to work in shifts and travel to multiple sites if required.

Preferred Knowledge

• UPS and battery maintenance.

• DG set operation.

• HVAC basics.

• Fiber network site power infrastructure.

• Facility maintenance and utility management.
