Job Description – Electrician (Solar Industry)

Position: Electrician – Solar Projects
Department: Operations / Installation & Maintenance
Location: Lucknow
Experience: 1–3 Years (Solar Industry experience preferred)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrician to support solar installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities. The candidate will be responsible for electrical wiring, installation of solar systems, testing, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of solar power projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installation, wiring, and commissioning work for solar PV systems.

• Install and connect solar panels, inverters, AC/DC cables, junction boxes, and other electrical components.

• Carry out electrical testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of solar systems.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of solar power plants.

• Ensure proper cable laying, termination, earthing, and electrical connections.

• Read and understand electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.

• Conduct site inspections and identify electrical issues.

• Maintain safety standards and follow electrical safety procedures at project sites.

• Assist engineers and supervisors during installation and commissioning activities.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI (Electrician) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety practices.

• Experience in solar installation, maintenance, or electrical projects preferred.

• Knowledge of AC/DC systems, inverters, and electrical testing equipment.

• Ability to work at project sites and travel as required.

• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical work.

• Solar industry experience will be an added advantage.
