The Electrical Technician – Utility Maintenance is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all utility-related electrical equipment and systems to ensure uninterrupted plant/site operations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, quick problem-solving, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Carry out preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance of electrical utility equipment.
Respond to electrical breakdowns and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Maintain daily logs, checklists, and service reports.
HT/LT Panels, ACB, MCC, PCC
DG sets, UPS, Battery banks
Transformers, Capacitor banks, APFC panels
HVAC electrical systems (Chillers, AHUs, Cooling towers)
Pumps, motors, compressors
Fire pumps and utility supply panels
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
Inspect and maintain earthing systems, lightning arrestors, and electrical safety devices.
Report near-miss incidents and participate in toolbox talks and safety training.
