Role Overview

The Electrical Technician – Utility Maintenance is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all utility-related electrical equipment and systems to ensure uninterrupted plant/site operations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, quick problem-solving, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance of electrical utility equipment.

• Respond to electrical breakdowns and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.

• Maintain daily logs, checklists, and service reports.

• HT/LT Panels, ACB, MCC, PCC

• DG sets, UPS, Battery banks

• Transformers, Capacitor banks, APFC panels

• HVAC electrical systems (Chillers, AHUs, Cooling towers)

• Pumps, motors, compressors

• Fire pumps and utility supply panels

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.

• Inspect and maintain earthing systems, lightning arrestors, and electrical safety devices.

• Report near-miss incidents and participate in toolbox talks and safety training.
