Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Surat / Hazira (Field-Based)
Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate, problem-solving Field Service Engineer to execute vital testing, commissioning, and preventive/breakdown maintenance of HT & LT switchgear products and substations up to the 33kV level. You will represent the company at critical client sites (such as steel plants, refineries, and wind farms), ensuring operational excellence and strict adherence to electrical safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site erection, testing, commissioning, retrofitting, and overhauling of ACB, VCB, and SF6 gas circuit breakers.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of protection relays (electromechanical and numerical) using secondary and primary injection kits.
• Handle testing equipment including Time Analyzers, Transformer Test Kits, Meggers, and Omicron CMC Test kits safely and accurately.
• Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) support and control panel wiring/modifications required.
• Provide 24/7 breakdown support and emergency troubleshooting for industrial clients.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 2 to 6+ years of hands-on experience in HT/LT switchgear testing and commissioning or substation maintenance.
• Skills: A results-driven professional with a robust understanding of power systems, switchgear operations, and protection relays, combined with a strict commitment to electrical safety, shutdown compliance, and strategic team leadership.
• Language: Fluency in Hindi/Gujarati for client coordination; working knowledge of English.
Compensation: 20,000 to 40,000+ (Monthly)
