Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the hotel. The role ensures uninterrupted electrical services, guest safety, and compliance with statutory regulations while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, laundry, banquet halls, and back-office facilities.
Maintain electrical panels, DBs, MCCs, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and lighting circuits.
Install and replace electrical fixtures, switches, sockets, lighting, fans, and other electrical accessories.
Monitor the performance of DG sets and coordinate with the engineering team during power failures.
Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical hotel operations.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.
Respond promptly to guest complaints related to electrical issues and resolve them efficiently.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, hotel policies, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with HVAC, Plumbing, and Civil Maintenance teams for engineering-related works.
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in electrical rooms and work areas.
Assist in energy conservation initiatives and recommend improvements for reducing electricity consumption.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control panels.
Knowledge of DG sets, UPS, transformers, and LT panels.
Ability to read electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Basic understanding of HVAC electrical systems.
Knowledge of electrical safety practices and statutory compliance.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdowns.
Working Conditions
Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
On-call availability for emergency maintenance.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
