The Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, upkeep, and safety of all hospital equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. This role involves preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, vendor coordination, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Conduct regular inspection and maintenance of hospital equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
Attend to and resolve maintenance requests or breakdowns promptly.
Maintain daily maintenance logs and reports.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all critical equipment (e.g., AC units, generators, water systems, lifts, etc.).
Ensure minimum downtime of hospital equipment.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination:
Liaise with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance contracts.
Supervise vendor work to ensure quality and timely completion.
Maintain AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) records and renewal schedules.
Inventory & Record Keeping:
Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, invoices, and service records.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with hospital safety norms, fire safety standards, and statutory maintenance requirements.
Conduct routine safety checks and report hazards or potential risks.
Support audits and inspections by internal or external agencies.
Team Coordination:
Guide and supervise housekeeping, electrician, plumber, and other maintenance staff.
Coordinate with other departments to address facility-related issues promptly.
Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
