Qualification

• ITI in Electrician Trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• Valid Electrical License (preferred).

Experience

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a rice processing plant, food manufacturing industry, or any FMCG manufacturing unit.

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLC panels, control panels, and electrical circuits.

• Maintain and service transformers, DG sets, compressors, air handling systems, and utility equipment.

• Ensure smooth operation of rice processing machinery such as elevators, conveyors, paddy cleaners, de-stoners, polishers, graders, sortex machines, and packaging machines.

• Perform electrical installations, wiring, cable laying, and panel modifications as required.

• Monitor electrical parameters and identify abnormalities to prevent equipment failures.

• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare parts consumption.

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.

• Coordinate with the production team to minimize machine downtime.

• Maintain housekeeping in electrical panels, substations, and work areas.

• Assist in energy conservation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control circuits.

• Hands-on experience with motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, contactors, relays, and switchgear.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.

• Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting using multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.

• Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical maintenance.
