Qualification
ITI in Electrician Trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Valid Electrical License (preferred).
Experience
2–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a rice processing plant, food manufacturing industry, or any FMCG manufacturing unit.
Job Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLC panels, control panels, and electrical circuits.
Maintain and service transformers, DG sets, compressors, air handling systems, and utility equipment.
Ensure smooth operation of rice processing machinery such as elevators, conveyors, paddy cleaners, de-stoners, polishers, graders, sortex machines, and packaging machines.
Perform electrical installations, wiring, cable laying, and panel modifications as required.
Monitor electrical parameters and identify abnormalities to prevent equipment failures.
Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare parts consumption.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
Coordinate with the production team to minimize machine downtime.
Maintain housekeeping in electrical panels, substations, and work areas.
Assist in energy conservation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control circuits.
Hands-on experience with motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, contactors, relays, and switchgear.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting using multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical maintenance.
