The Maintenance Multi-Skilled Technician is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted, safe, and compliant operation of all facilities, equipment, and utilities at a late-night Asian gastro pub. The role requires hands-on expertise across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, gas systems, and general civil maintenance, with special emphasis on Mumbai hospitality regulations, fire & life safety, and night-time operational readiness.
Conduct daily and periodic preventive maintenance to ensure zero disruption during peak and late-night service hours.
Attend emergency breakdowns immediately during operational hours, especially post-midnight service.
Maintain and troubleshoot kitchen and bar equipment including chillers, freezers, exhaust systems, dishwashers, ice machines, and back-bar equipment.
Maintain lighting, switches, sockets, DB panels, emergency lights, signage, and earthing systems.
Monitor power load, backup systems (DG set / inverter / UPS if applicable), and ensure night-time power continuity.
Ensure all electrical works comply with Mumbai electrical safety norms and audit requirements.
Handle plumbing repairs related to water supply, drainage, grease traps, washrooms, bar counters, and kitchen areas.
Ensure smooth functioning of drainage systems to prevent blockages during high-volume night operations.
Monitor water usage and report leakages or irregularities immediately.
Maintain air-conditioning systems, fresh air units, and ventilation systems for guest comfort and staff safety.
Ensure kitchen exhaust and smoke extraction systems function efficiently during late-night cooking operations.
Coordinate with AMC vendors for HVAC servicing and compliance checks.
Monitor and maintain gas pipelines, valves, regulators, and leak detection systems.
Ensure strict adherence to gas safety SOPs and emergency shut-down procedures, especially during night shifts.
Support inspections and compliance with local gas safety regulations.
Maintain fire extinguishers, emergency exits, signage, fire alarms, and emergency lighting as per Mumbai Fire Brigade norms.
Ensure readiness for fire, electrical, PWD, and statutory inspections, including documentation and records.
Support compliance with BMC, Fire NOC, PWD, Electrical Inspectorate, and FSSAI facility hygiene standards.
Conduct routine safety checks and immediately report hazards or non-compliance.
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized repairs.
Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare-part inventory.
Report major faults, safety risks, or capital repair requirements to management promptly.
ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / HVAC / Civil or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
Valid PWD (Public Works Department) License – mandatory (Maharashtra).
2–5 years of maintenance experience in late-night restaurants, pubs, bars, hotels, or high-volume hospitality outlets in Mumbai.
Strong working knowledge of Mumbai hospitality compliance, including BMC, Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, and FSSAI norms.
Hands-on experience with HVAC, kitchen exhaust, gas pipelines (PNG/LPG), drainage, grease traps, and bar equipment.
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, public holidays, and handle emergency breakdowns during service hours.
High level of safety awareness, problem-solving ability, and calmness under pressure.
Basic communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi preferred.
Ability to stand for long hours, lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in kitchen, utility, and service areas.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, late-night operational environment.
