Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Execution
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as wiring, switchboards, panels, lighting, and power outlets at the construction site.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
Carry out conduit laying, cable pulling, termination, and earthing as per approved drawings.
Install temporary site power supply, DBs, and lighting arrangements.
2. Testing & Commissioning
Conduct insulation resistance (IR), continuity, and earthing tests.
Ensure proper functioning of electrical installations before handover.
Attend testing and commissioning activities as per project requirements.
3. Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical safety rules and site safety procedures strictly.
Ensure all electrical works comply with statutory regulations and IS standards.
Use proper PPE and tools while working on site.
Identify electrical hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately.
4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and rectify breakdowns promptly.
Maintain temporary power systems and site equipment.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades for smooth execution.
Report daily work progress and issues to the site engineer/electrical supervisor.
Support electrical inspections by clients, consultants, and statutory authorities.
6. Material Handling & Housekeeping
Proper handling and storage of electrical materials and tools.
Ensure housekeeping of electrical work areas.
Avoid wastage and misuse of materials.
