Job Summary:
The Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in automobiles, ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles.
Inspect wiring, lighting systems, batteries, alternators, and starters.
Repair and maintain vehicle electrical components and accessories.
Use diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues.
Install and service electrical equipment and vehicle accessories.
Perform preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
Ensure proper functioning of AC systems, sensors, and electronic controls.
Maintain service records and job card updates.
Follow safety standards and workshop procedures.
Coordinate with service advisors and technicians for vehicle repairs.
Test vehicles after repair to ensure issue resolution.
Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools and equipment.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of automobile electrical systems.
Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to use electrical testing tools and equipment.
Basic computer and technical knowledge.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Qualification:
ITI / Diploma in Electrician or Automobile preferred.
Experience:
1–5 years of experience in automobile electrical repair and maintenance.
